Welcome to The Flower Box Saltford

Hello, I’m Ali — owner of The Flower Box Saltford, and someone who stumbled into floristry by a very happy accident. It was a Christmas Wreath Workshop back in 2018 that sparked everything for me, and now here I am, running flower workshops, creating arrangements, and helping people find the same creative joy I did. My motto is simple: I’m only happy if you are happy, and that guides everything I do.

When you join one of our workshops — whether it’s a general Flower Arranging Workshop or a seasonal celebration like our Christmas sessions — you’re stepping into a space built on warmth, creativity, and genuine care. I love getting to know people, seeing their confidence grow, and helping them create something that reflects their personality and festive style.

If you’re looking for a creative, joyful way to welcome the festive season, our Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop is designed to help you unwind, make something beautiful, and leave with an enormous grin (and an even bigger wreath!).

Why Join a Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop?

A Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop is more than a festive activity — it’s a moment of calm in a very busy season. Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll step into a welcoming space full of creativity, laughter, and deliciously Christmassy smells like eucalyptus, cinnamon, and dried orange slices.

For many people, wreath-making marks the start of Christmas. It’s that lovely tradition that signals, “Okay, now the festivities begin.” And I get it — that’s what hooked me in 2018! The act of choosing foliage, weaving textures, and selecting decorations helps people slow down and reconnect with something hands-on and mindful.

Plus, when you create something yourself, it becomes so much more meaningful. A handmade wreath feels personal, thoughtful, and full of character. Every year I see people surprised by their own creativity, and that’s one of my favourite parts of hosting these workshops.

Inside Our Christmas Wreath Workshops

Our festive Christmas Wreath Workshops run for around 2.5–3 hours, depending on your speed and creative flow. Whether you’re brand new to floristry or a seasoned creative, you’ll feel right at home — these workshops are suitable for everyone, and I guide you step-by-step through the whole process.

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with a festive drink and a mince pie. From there, we dive into selecting your foliage, preparing your wreath base, and choosing from lots of gorgeous materials — dried orange slices, pinecones, berries, fruits, cinnamon sticks, ribbons, and little seasonal treasures. Everything is included, but you’re always welcome to bring your own decorations too.

As I always say, we love big smiles and big wreaths! I’ll help you bring your idea to life, even if you arrive thinking you “aren’t creative.” Trust me — everyone has creativity in them, and I’m here to help you find it.

What You’ll Create: Festive Designs With Style

Every wreath made at our Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop is completely unique. Some people love natural woodland greens, others want sparkles and bold colours — and some mix everything together! That’s the beauty of the workshop: you decide the style, and I help you bring it to life.

For those interested in exploring more creative ideas, I often share inspiration from dried flower décor too. Dried flowers are incredibly popular at the moment, and they add timeless beauty to winter arrangements. If you’d like to learn more about using dried flowers in Christmas decorations, here are two great reads:

Adding dried extras like teasels, pampas or dried hydrangea can create a stunning modern edge. And if dried flowers really spark your interest, you’ll love our other workshops (linked below!).

The Workshop Experience at Our Saltford Location

Our workshops take place in the beautiful Home & Lifestyle building at Flourish, Glenavon Farm (Bath Road, Saltford). It’s a cosy, inspiring space where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy a little creative escape from the holiday rush.

The atmosphere is always friendly, warm, and supportive — many people come by themselves and leave with new friends. Creativity has a funny way of bringing people together, especially when festive lights and cinnamon sticks are involved!

The venue also gives you space to spread out and make a glorious big wreath without feeling cramped. It’s all about enjoying the process as much as the final product — and I’m there every step of the way to make sure you leave feeling proud, confident, and very Christmassy.

Other Workshops You’ll Love

If you enjoy the Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop, you’ll love exploring our other creative sessions too. We host a variety of seasonal and floral workshops designed to help you learn new skills and have fun while doing it.

Our popular dried flower workshops include:

You can also join one of our stunning Living Wreath Workshops for a fresh botanical twist.

For group events, we also run custom floral sessions including Hen Party Experiences — one of my favourite things to host because the energy is always brilliant!

Top Tips For Getting the Most Out of Your Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop

Tip one: Wear something comfortable and not too precious. Floristry can be a tad messy — in the best possible, beautifully green kind of way! Aprons are provided, but comfy clothing makes it easier to relax and get fully absorbed in the creative process.

Tip two: Bring any extra decorations you’d love to include. Whether you have some meaningful ornaments, personalised ribbon, or even some old Christmas baubles you want to reinvent, they can make your wreath even more special. But no pressure — all the essentials you need are supplied.

Tip three: Take your time and enjoy the process. These workshops are all about stepping away from the hustle of the season and sinking into something calming, festive, and joyful. There’s no rush to finish first — just lots of time to unwind, chat, snack, and make something beautiful.
