Welcome to The Flower Box Christmas Experience

Hello, I’m Ali, owner of The Flower Box Saltford — and Christmas really is my favourite time of year. There’s something truly magical about welcoming the festive season with a cup of something warm, a mince pie, and a table full of seasonal foliage, ribbons and cinnamon sticks. It’s how my whole floristry journey began back in 2018 — at a wreath workshop! That single moment of creativity set me on the path to building The Flower Box, and I’ve never looked back.

My workshops are all about bringing people together in a warm, creative and supportive environment, whether you’re a complete beginner or already a flower-arranging enthusiast. I firmly believe that everyone has a creative side; sometimes, all you need is the space and guidance to let it shine. That’s exactly what you’ll find at our Christmas Wreath Workshops.

When you join one of our Christmas Flower Arranging Workshops, you’re not just crafting a wreath — you’re making a memory. Every wreath that leaves the workshop is as unique as the person who made it, bursting with personality and festive flair.

Why Join a Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop?

There’s no shortage of festive activities in Bath, Bristol and beyond — but few offer the hands-on, creative satisfaction that comes with designing and crafting your very own wreath. Our Christmas Flower Arranging Workshop offers an experience that’s calming, inspiring, and joyful. Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll be welcomed with open arms, a drink, and a mince pie.

Workshops like these are also a brilliant way to embrace sustainable decorating. By choosing fresh and natural materials, you’re creating something environmentally friendly, locally made, and completely reusable. (Check out this great article on decorating with dried flowers for inspiration).

Finally, these workshops are a wonderful chance to step away from the hustle and bustle, connect with others, and explore your creative flow. Many of my guests return year after year, making wreath-making part of their festive traditions.

What to Expect at Our Christmas Wreath Workshops

Our Christmas Wreath Workshops are held at Glenavon Farm, Bath Rd, Saltford, Bristol BS31 3TJ, in the beautiful Home and Lifestyle building. Each session lasts around 2.5 to 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the process at your own pace.

Everything you need is provided — from lush seasonal foliage to fragrant cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, pine cones, ribbons and other festive decorations. You’re also welcome to bring your own baubles or extras to make your wreath even more personal. The atmosphere is relaxed, supportive and joyful — the perfect environment to get creative.

No prior floristry experience is required. Whether you’ve never picked up a pair of floristry scissors or you’re an experienced arranger, I’ll guide you through every step. You’ll leave with a stunning handmade wreath for your door, table, or as a thoughtful gift for someone special.

Creative Extras: Dried Flowers, Baubles & More

If you love working with flowers, there’s even more to explore at The Flower Box beyond our Christmas Wreath Workshops. I offer a variety of flower arranging workshops throughout the year, including dried flower bauble workshops, dried flower hoop workshops, dried flower mini bouquet workshops, string dried flower workshops and living wreath workshops.

Working with dried flowers is a trend that continues to grow — they’re sustainable, long-lasting, and beautifully versatile. You can even incorporate dried elements into your Christmas wreath to add texture and charm. Take a look at this Elle Decoration article on dried flower arrangements for more ideas.

Many of my customers mix fresh and dried materials to create something truly unique. Whether it’s cinnamon-scented pine cones or delicate seed heads, these creative extras elevate your festive decorations beautifully.
